8th Annual MINI's on the Dragon Review! April 28th to May 2nd 2010

We ended up with 635 registered MINIacs. (approx. 450 MINIs)
Hats off to everyone that attended and helped to organize the 2010 Dragon

  • The Dragon was closed for thru traffic, but open on the NC side from 8am-8pm daily
  • We had another great showing of 17 Vendors doing installs and selling their MINI wares!!
  • On-site registration was run by Nathan.
  • Sunshine MINIs hosted their 4th Welcome Dinner.
  • The Welshman and MKO held the 6th Cigar Sampling Salon.
  • MINIBee hosted our two Newbie Orientation.
  • Snooter and AutoXCooper hosted our 2nd Dragon Wine Tasting..
  • Hendrick MINI and MINIUSA had a booth at the event this year.
  • The MINI car show came back for a 3rd round and was hosted by Outmotoring.com
  • We had several day drives offered again: Zipline by MINIBee, Sunrise Drive Thru the Smokies by Phil, Mike and Janet, Pigeon Forge and Dinner by John and Celia, Cherohala Skyway by Frantic Freddy, Deep Creek Waterfalls by Snooter, Elk Tour by Woody & Barbie, Dinner at Lynn's Place by Frantic Freddy, Heinzelmannchen by the Professor Zoom, Balsam Mountain INN by Woody and Barbie, Highlands Rib Run II by the Steve Mielnicki, River's End Dinner by Wbarnhill,Gem Mininng by HalAC, Geocaching by Professor Zoom, Jet Boats by Gulf South Motoring, Geocaching.
  • Dragon Parade hosted by XIEK was a success again.
  • Helix and Philly MINI hosted our first Frisbee Golf tournament
  • Chad from Detroit Tuned hosted the Brewswap.
  • Karoake made it's debut after the Brewswap
  • Live music for "Chillen at Grill" was big hit.
  • George Pearl came back for another Panoramic Group Photo.
  • Way Motor Works had his tent party with a Mardi Gras Theme.
  • There was a 4th Dragon Ice Cream Run and it was a huge hit again!
  • PittStop MINIs held the 3rd Draggin Dragon Pine Car Derby.
  • Pittstop MINIs hosted the 2nd Dragon Bingo night and was a huge hit.
  • Snooter hosted a fine Farewell Dinner with awesome 3-D MINI cake.
  • MINIBee hosted the 2nd Darkness on the Dragon Run. (not actually on the Dragon)
  • And of Course what Dragon would not be complete with a Midnight Dragon Run! (actually on NC28)

  • Mark Ferguson stepped down as lead organizer and Snooter filled his place.
  • Registration switched from NAM to this site.
  • We had another great showing of Vendors doing installs and selling their MINI wares!!

  • Sunshine MINIs hosted their 3rd Welcome Dinner.
  • MINIclo and The Welshman held the 5th Cigar Sampling Salon.
  • Cabriopilot and MINIBee hosted our first Newbie Orientation.
  • Cabriopilot and AutoXCooper hosted our first Dragon Wine Tasting.
  • Chet from Yokohama again offered several tech talks.
  • The Drive-In Movie made a return and we saw "The Bourne Identity".
  • The MINI car show came back for a second round and was hosted by Outmotoring.com
  • We had several day drives offered again: Zipline by QueenB, Road to Nowhere by Sir Tyne, Cherohala Skyway by Frantic Freddy, The Jarrett House by Snooter, Elk Tour by Woody & Barbie, Dinner at Lynn's Place by cabriopilot, Heinzelmannchen by the GreenIguana, Highlands Rib Run by the Mielnicki's, River's End Dinner by cabriopilot, Geocaching, Jet Boats by Gulf South Motoring (got rained out), Geocaching.
  • Dragon Parade was a success again.
  • Chad from Detroit Tuned hosted the Brewswap and Beerolympics.
  • George Pearl came back for another Panoramic Group Photo.
  • There was a third Dragon Ice Cream Run and it was a huge hit again!
  • PittStop MINIs held the 2nd Draggin Dragon Pine Car Derby.
  • Pittstop MINIs hosted the 1st Dragon Bingo night and was a huge hit.
  • Snooter hosted a fine Farewell Dinner with awesome 50th Birthday cake for MINI.
  • MINIBee hosted the 1st Darkness on the Dragon Run.
  • And of Course what Dragon would not be complete with a Midnight Dragon Run!

  • Registration was done thru NAM and some great volunteers
  • We had a huge tent on baseball field for non-install vendors
  • We had a small fire that knocked out the power for a while and caused some excitement.
  • Group Dinners were offered under the tent for Thursday and Friday night.
  • Sunshine MINIs hosted anther awesome Welcome Dinner.
  • MINI Nurse and DCMINIs hosted a Mardi Gra theme Farewell Dinner
  • MINIclo and The Welshman held the 4th Cigar Sampling Salon
  • Dragon Parade was a success again
  • We had several day drives offered again: Gatlinburg Fun Day by BlimeyCabrio, Joyce Kilmer Forest by cabriopilot, Highland Excursion by agranger, Heinzelmann Brewery Run by Professor Zoom, Dillsboro/Jarrett House by Snooter, The Devil's Triangle by AutoXCooper, Sunrise Drive by agranger, Tuckaleechee Caverns by lilrufcat and welshdragon, Geocaching.
  • Autocross was held at the William Blount HS in Maryville, TN
  • We had our 1st MINI car show
  • Chet from Yokohama again held several tech talks
  • Little Dragons was back for a second year and was a huge hit with the kids and parents!
  • Chad from Detroit Tuned hosted the Brewswap and Beerolympics.
  • George Pearl came back for another Panoramic Group Photo
  • There was a second Dragon Ice Cream Run and it was a huge hit again!
  • PittStop MINIs held the 1st Draggin Dragon Pine Car Derby
  • Pittstop MINI brought back MINI Monte Carlo Night to the delight of everyone.
  • And of Course what Dragon would not be complete with a Midnight Dragon Run!

We jumped from 612 to 804 registered MINIacs and over 460 MINIs!! Hats off to everyone that attended and helped to organize the 2007 Dragon

  • Bamatt and SB stepped up and held the Not So Welcome Dinner
  • MINIclo and The Welshman held the 3rd Cigar Sampling Salon
  • Dragon Parade was a success again
  • Chet from Yokohama once again held some tech talks
  • Ryephile put together the first R56 MINI Expo
  • Little Dragons was added and was a huge hit with the kids and parents!
  • NAM hosted the Rocky Top BBQ
  • Matt brought back the Brewswap and added the Beerolympics.
  • Tar Heel MINI and Michigan MINI held another great Dragon Drive-in Movie night!
  • QueenB helped put together an Autocross in Maryville, TN
  • George Pearl came back for another Panoramic Group Photo
  • Muidaq held the first Dragon Ice Cream Run and it was a huge hit!
  • Imagox put on a great Lighting Clinic
  • NAM hosted a great Dragon Farewell Banquet dinner with some guest speakers!
  • Pittstop MINI held the surprise hit of the year with their MINI Monte Carlo Night!
